Cory Ng is committed to making a positive contribution to the Philadelphia region through financial literacy initiatives and education. In January 2009, Cory represented the PICPA at the Philadelphia Youth Network. He presented a financial literacy program to young adults enrolled in a summer internship program.
In the fall of 2008, Cory presented a Money and Life financial literacy program to children at the Falls of Schuylkill Library. This community outreach program was developed and sponsored by the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
In the spring of 2007, Cory facilitated a financial literacy partnership between Russell Byers Charter School and the Board of Pensions PCUSA. During this program, accounting professionals from the Board of Pensions taught 4th grade students the importance of budgeting and savings.
Cory has also participated in various accounting workshops targeted at entrepreneurs. In May of 2008, CRNG participated in the UPPN Entrepreneurial Boot Camp where Cory lectured on accounting basics for new business start ups. Cory also led a 'Getting Started with QuickBooks®' workshop sponsored by the Retail Resource Network at The Enterprise Center on May 29, 2008.
Recognizing the importance of educating future financial professionals, Cory also serves as an adjunct instructor of accounting at a Philadelphia community college. In this capacity, Cory has the opportunity to inspire and mentor future generations of CPA's and financial managers.
